LOOK AT THE LIFE AND WORK OF KRZYSZTOF KIEŚLOWSKI FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TWO GENERATIONS.
Throughout the weekend, Sokołowsko, a tiny town located in Lower Silesia in which Krzysztof Kieślowski grew up was bustling with life and film emotions. JETEVENTS was the originator and producer of the gala twice which was the festival’s artistic event.
The setting of the festival gala, which gathers outstanding theater and film artists, collaborators of Krzysztof Kieślowski as well as journalists and critics is always a unique challenge for the event agency. This is because it is confronting the greatness of one of the best Polish film directors with his actors, cinematographers and students. JETEVENTS has produced twice the gala – Hommage à Kieślowski Festival. The first time, the Agency invited artists who had the opportunity and pleasure to work alongside the Master. The following year, the Agency proposed a setting with the participation of theater schools students and filmmakers of the young generation.
The program of one of the galas hosted by Artur Barcis included fragments of “White” presented in the form of rehearsals on the set which were directed by Piotr Jaxa, Marcin Bortkiewicz, Marcin Latałło and Bogdan Kocy. With extraordinary energy and passion, the young actors recreated the characters from the movie. Together with the director they gave the scenes a new and often surprising quality. The gala was complemented by film performances by Zbigniew Zamachowski, Piotr Machalica and Piotr Sobociński, as well as a musical setting and concert performed by The Voices.
The galas of the Hommage à Kieślowski festival were very well received by the viewers and recognized as festival events. The JETEVENTS agency, which specializes in unique, tailor-made artistic events presented a program that met the expectations of the recipients as well as the intent of the festival organizers.
